Who we are:

Penhill Jones was established by Gareth Jones.

Gareth started his career in recruitment with a large international firm, spending just under 4 years with them, rising very quickly through the ranks, managing an award-winning team and eventually heading all permanent recruitment in Wales. Following an associate director role with a smaller firm, Gareth made the leap to start his own consultancy.

Experience, over the years, has included transactional roles, through to qualified finance and senior appointments, across industries including financial services, charity, not for profit, manufacturing, professional services and technology.

Gareth’s very successful approach is simple:

“Too often are candidates and clients taken through a long process when, in reality, one is never going to be right for the other. I focus on the people on either side of the desk to find out what works and what will add value – It’s all about the role and the person, not the job title.”
